About 253 Collective
In 2009, Tacoma visionary Linda Danforth founded the 253 Collective. The collective is a cooperative of local artists whose goal is to provide a retail location for artwork while keeping the cost to each artist as low as possible. Each artist pays a monthly membership fee, and has an assigned job (marketing, art rotation, etc.). There is no commission collected on anyone’s work, so artists receive the full payment when their work is sold. Visit for more information.

About John Wise
John Wise is no stranger to showing and selling his work in galleries. He has painted landscapes, cloudscapes, and seascapes. He paints what he sees, or what he remembers, mostly in nature. “Almost all of what I paint comes from inside my head,” said Wise. For more information visit
