I was born and raised on a small farm in Madison, Virginia. My grandmother on my mom’s side was a very talented artist. Unfortunately, she died when I was young but became a big inspiration for me. I took art class in high school, but am mostly self taught. And I’m definitely still learning! Most of my art is oil on canvas. I love painting animals, but landscapes and flowers are also a common subject. I am disabled with intractable epilepsy and painting has helped bring meaning and purpose to my life! I’m excited to be in Tacoma and part of the art community!
